Welcome to Sleepy Owl Teaching! My name is Katie and I am a special educator in Massachusetts. I’ve worked in elementary special education for over 10 years! The majority of my time has been spent with grades 3-5 but last year I made the switch to K-2 special education. Just making sure my bases are all covered!
During my time in the field of special education, I have learned a LOT. Much of that has been by trial and error and a good part has been because of wonderful colleagues. Here, I hope to share with you information, tips, tricks, trends, and fun ideas I have picked up along the way. Many of these can be used by general educators as well. We are all one big team and as long as we are always learning from each other, we will continue to find success!
